Freelance Credits

I’ve been working as a freelancer since the beginning of 2024 on a variety of announced and unannounced projects. Here are some clients I’ve worked with:

Space Ape Games - Narrative Designer

Prior to their acquisition by SuperCell, I provided Narrative Design consultancy on an unannounced project and wrote a substantial amount of dialogue for Chrome Valley Customs, participating in storyboarding and planning as well as implementation.

Tributary Games - Composer and Sound Designer

As an exciting first, I was asked to soundtrack Occlude, an occult solitaire game published by Pantaloon. The game featured an adaptive soundtrack inspired by David Lynch and liminal music. I also provided sound design, creating all UI and foley SFX for the game. I created many of these sounds on a homemade foley box, which is now the most haunted-looking object I own.

AstraValle - Narrative Director

This young studio asked me to help build a strong narrative foundation for Nrem, an upcoming platform game, ahead of their moving into full produciton. I synthesised the team’s notes and vision into a coherent story, created a history of their in-game world, and produced macro charts in order to demonstrate how planning materials become production-ready assets. I also provided level designs for some platforming levels, and worked with their engine specialists to iterate on game mechanics.

Blue Tango Street - Narrative Consultant

I read and reviewed the script for upcoming title Sips and Sonnets, ahead of the script going out to the voice actors. This is a gorgeous little game and I’m really happy I got to be a part of it.

Dubious Design - Writer

This was an interesting one. I was approached by Dubious to provide a short sci-fi story as part of the development for an unannounced title. The story is going to help inform their internal worldbuilding and narrative trajectory, as well as be used for marketing. It was a rare treat to revisit my core skill of writing straightforward prose fiction.
